Here at BatteryCity, we understand that from time to time you may wish to return a product to us. You may have ordered an item in error or you suspect your battery may be faulty, so we have created this cancellation & returns policy to enable you to return products to us in appropriate circumstances.
Returns
Where you have no other legal right to return a product and receive a refund or exchange, you will nonetheless be entitled to return a product to us where:
(a) We receive the returned product within 1 day following the date of purchase of the product;
(b) The returned product is unused, in its original unopened packaging with any seal or shrink-wrap intact, with any labels still attached, and otherwise in a condition enabling us to sell the product as new.
(c) The product warranty card is not stamped, and the fields on the warranty card are empty without any names or phone numbers on it. So that we can sell the product to other customers.
Returns procedure
In order to take advantage of your rights under this returns policy, you must: Arrange for the battery to be sent back to our premises. You can do this yourself using a nationwide courier or we can arrange this for you at a cost of Rs.500. This fee may be different based on your location.
Refunds
We will give you a refund for the full price of any product properly returned by you in accordance with the terms of this returns policy excluding the costs of returning the product to us within 1 day of purchase.
What is the acceptable order cancellation time-frame and what is the cancellation fee?
We usually deliver the order within just few hours of customer placing an order on our portal or via phone. And, this is the reason we need to dispatch the order as soon as we receive the request. So, the cancellation time-frame has to be very short. Nonetheless, we allow order cancellation time-frame of one hour or if you call before the product is dispatch for delivery to you. Meaning, after placing an order, if you want to cancel the order, you need to call us as early as possible. If the product is not dispatch for delivery, your order will be canceled, and you will not be charged any cancellation fee. However, if the product is already dispatched and you call to cancel then a cancellation fee will be levied upon the customer, which will be Rs 400 + 2% online charges only if the payment is made online. Please note that this fee may be different based on your location.
How and when will I get the refund?
You should receive the refund amount automatically credited to your credit/debit card account within 7-10 business days.
Improper returns
Where you return a product in contravention of this policy (and where you do not have any other legal right to return the product):
(a) We will not refund or exchange the product.
(b) We may retain the returned product until you pay to us such additional amount as we may charge for re-delivery of the returned product.
(c) If the order is canceled by the customer or if battery found to be ok in that case service charge will be applicable minimum Rs.450/.
(d) If the car does not start after replacing the battery, and it might be starter or other technical issue, then a service charge is applicable to Rs. 450 .
